Annabelle von Sperber was born in 1973 and studied illustration at the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung (now the University of Applied Sciences) in Hamburg. She has been working as a freelance illustrator for various publishing houses and magazines since 2000. Today, she lives in Berlin.
