Nina Weger was born in 1970 and, after successfully completing grammar school, spent a season with Circus Belly working as a tightrope walker before attending journalism school and then working as an editor and assistant to , among others, film director Dieter Wedel. Today she lives with her husband and two children in Hanover, where she works as a freelance author. Her works include scripts for well-known German television series, such as “Notruf Hafenkante” and “Edel und Stark”. In her spare time, she and a friend also do voluntary work, running a children’s circus, Kinderzirkus Giovanni. The circus has been presented with the German children’s award “Deutscher Kinderpreis".
