Daniela Chudzinski was born in Lübeck in 1972. She studied illustration and creative painting in Hamburg, Germany and Pittsburgh, USA. She lived for a time in England. Chudzinski has been working as a freelance illustrator for various publishing houses since 1999 and also publishes her own picture books. She lives in Hamburg, her favourite city.
