Ursel Scheffler (Author), Verena Körting (Illustrator)
Bo the bear lives all alone in the wood. He’s feeling pretty lonely
on Christmas Eve, but then a pig knocks at his door simply because
it’s scared of the dark. One by one, other animals also turn up on
his doorstep. They have all heard that a special child has been
born in a stable in Bethlehem. They decide to visit the child
together and, in the end, all the animals gather around the manger
to gaze in wonder at the baby lying there. Everyone is happy and no
one is alone any more.
A shared experience of the birth of Jesus seen from the animals’ perspective
Rhyming text entertains and makes reading easier for beginning readers.
