She studied English, German and psychology at Bonn University and worked for fifteen years as an editor for a number of children’s book publishers. Today she lives and works as a freelance author and editor in the Münsterland region.

Rike Janßen was born in Bremen in 1979. After obtaining a vocational diploma in design that qualified her for university, she studied design in Münster. Today, she is a student at the University of the Arts in Bremen and at the same time working as a freelance illustrator. She lives with her husband and her son in Oldenburg.

Susanne Wechdorn was born in Klosterneuburg near Vienna and followed up a degree in law by studying at the Higher Graphic Instruction and Experimental Institute in Vienna. She has been working as a freelance illustrator since 1990. Susanne Wechdorn illustrates school and children’s books for many German and some Austrian publishing houses.

Dirk Hennig

Dirk Hennig was born in Dortmund in 1972. He studied graphic design in Münster, where he made illustration his special subject. After working as in graphic and web design, he returned (repentantly) to his drawing board in 2005 and has devoted himself to illustrating books for children and young people ever since.
