Konrad oder Das Kind aus der Konservenbüchse

Konrad or the Factory Made Boy

Mrs Bartolotti, a woman in her prime with no experience whatsoever of children suddenly becomes a mother – in a most unusual way, she receives a parcel in the post. Her new son, Konrad, is seven years old and comes out of a can. This fast-moving and humorous story describes the exciting, funny, and sometimes unpleasant situations Mrs Bartolotti gets into because of Konrad and also how she defends him when it turns out he was a wrong delivery.

“The story not only teaches parents a lot about bringing up children, but also tells children a lot about their parents.” (Radio Bremen)
